I don't think I necessarily buy this study. I am a firm believer in spanking children. I was spanked as a child and I grew up learning respect, and proper behavior. If spanking is taken too far and has become beatings, them I could see where the developmental issues can arise. The problem with children today is that parents are too afraid of disciplining their kids, which has created a whole new problem.
