// WPB, FL, USA // Injury Lawyers News // Nicole Howley Boston, MA — Alleged reports of hazing have resulted in the suspension of a Boston University sorority, Fox News reports.
Boston University Police Department reportedly stopped three men, who were carrying members of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority, down the street in the Allston neighborhood on March 3.
The university’s Panhellenic Council stated that one of the sorority members was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Officials believe the hazing event occurred off campus and possibly involved a fraternity that is not affiliated with the school.
It is unknown if anyone was injured in the alleged hazing incident.
Boston University spokesman Colin Riley said the school takes hazing incidents, which are illegal, very seriously. The sorority will temporarily not be allowed to participate in any activities as an organization on campus, Fox News reported.
